Another new arrival in our sock yarn inventory this week is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in the colorway "Franklin's Panopticon".

Shepherd Sock is a great sock yarn - nice to work with and very soft and nice to wear. Team that up with a terrific colorway and it is definitely a winner in my book!

....and we're not talking about the Asian Lady Beetles here!

Our order of Schacht Ladybug Spinning Wheels has shipped and should be arriving the very first part of next week.

This should be fun - the reviews for this little wheel have been great so I'm excited to get them in the shop.

We know how popular the Pagewood Farm Chugiak yarn has been in the shop for socks and lace projects. We received another box of that great yarn.

But the really good news is that we have received one of their new yarns - Alyeska. This is a blend of Merino, Cashmere and Nylon (80/10/10), has 360 yards in a skein and knits up at 7 - 7.5 stitches per inch on a US 2 or 3 (recommended gauge). Best of all - it comes in the same great colorways as Chugiak - is SO soft and can be machine washed on gentle cycle! Time to get those needles fired up on a wonderful pair of socks for yourself or get started on the holiday knitting (and may we remind you that the holidays are less than 6 months away?).

Just a reminder to those that signed up for the Great American Aran Afghan Knit-Along......Get those needles ready - We start this week! Wednesday, July 2 from 1 - 3 pm or Thursday, July 3 from 6 - 8 pm.

Saturday: 10 am - 4 pm
Sunday: Noon - 4 pm

We will also be closed on Friday, July 4th for the Independence Day Holiday. (There will be no Friday Night Knit Nite in July.)

We just got the call today - More Pagewood Farm Chugiak yarn is on its way to us! This time around, we are going with some of the more popular colorways and carrying multiple skeins in those colors (so there will be great yardage for those that want to use this great yarn for lace projects). We are also receiving about 30 skeins of their new sock yarn that contains cashmere! I've seen the yarn in person and it is SO soft! I can't wait for it to come in - I'll keep you posted.

We also received more of our Fleece Artist / Hand Maiden order. This time around is Sea Wool - another great sock yarn made from 70% Merino and 30% Seacell. Wonderful sheen and feel.

Fleece Artist and Hand Maiden yarns are starting to arrive. So far we've received Sea Wool (great for socks) and Sea Silk (great for those summer lace projects).
