Zauberball???
What is Zauberball???? It's a NEW sock yarn from Skacel!
Which colorway is your favorite? You might want to hurry in - I have a feeling this one won't be around for very long......hmmmm......now to pick which colorway to take home with me!!! You all know how much I love a good sock yarn!
Zauberball is a great new fingering weight sock yarn with long color repeats (much like Noro). Super Soft 75% Superwash Wool, 25% Nylon, approximately 462 yards per ball, and machine washable.

New Titles from Interweave Press
I've been waiting for this delivery all week!First up is Sock Innovation by Cookie A. If you are a sock knitter, this is a Must Have book. "Sock Innovation leads readers on a guided tour through the process of imagining and creating your own unconventional sock patterns. Fifteen brand-new patterns demonstrate Cookie's design principles with irresistible results."
Great book - definitely worth the wait!
The next book from Interweave is Japanese Inspired Knits."Explore beautiful design elements steeped in folk customs with these patterns created especially for women." There are 12 sweaters oriented around the months of the year and feature techniques such as double knitting, shadow knitting, lace, cables, entrelac, and more.
Beautiful, elegant designs - I've got a couple of favorites that will be added to my queue!

Coming Soon....Friday Night SP-IT Nite
Believe it or not, it is almost April and you know what that means, right????
Friday Night SP-IT (SPinning and knITting) is right around the corner - Friday, April 3rd from 6 - 8 pm!
To celebrate the start of Spring (it is Spring, right? You sure can't tell by the weather though!), I thought we would have a snack/dessert potluck event for April's SP-IT Nite. If you're interested, bring a snack or dessert to share - if not, just bring yourself (and your project that you're working on, of course!). In other words, snacks and desserts are not mandatory.
Please let me know if you'll be coming though - rsvp by commenting here, by phone or by sending an email to pam@knitterspalette.com.

Soft, Beautiful and Chunky!!!
Today's new arrival comes to us from Misti Alpaca - Misti Alpaca Tonos Chunky! If you love their Chunky Alpaca yarn, you'll absolutely LOVE this yarn - it's a blend of 50% Baby Alpaca and 50% Merino Wool (the wool will add some structure), tone-on-tone colorways and dyed so there will be no pooling of puddling of colors, 100 grams, 109 yards per skein, with a recommended gauge of 3.5 stitches per inch on a US #10 needle and did I mention SUPER SOFT!
Here's a closer picture of one of the colorways. The tone-on-tone colors are spectacular!

We just received the new AMY BUTLER bags. We've got 2 different styles - the Sanibel and the Hampton. GREAT bags, great fabric, lots of room for even your larger projects and lots of pockets for your needles and gadgets.

I've been promising a new self-striping sock yarn from Opal for the last month or so and it is finally HERE!The collection is called Memory - same great Opal self-striping yarn, same blend of superwash wool and nylon, same great wearing and machine washable yarn that we've all come to love - and now in a new collection!

Mmmmmmm......Misti
What could be better then a pair of nice warm alpaca socks on a cold day?We just received 3 new colorways in Misti Alpaca's Hand Paint Sock yarn. This is a mix of 50% Alpaca, 30% Merino Wool, 10% Silk and 10% Nylon. Each hank contains 437 yards of wonderfully soft sock yarn. It's time to treat your feet!

Spring Nashua
OK - I know it's another winter-type day out there. It looks like it might snow at any time today, and is sounds like another blast of cold weather will be here again. Let's keep positive, shall we? This just CAN'T last forever - spring HAS to be right around the corner, right?How about if we dream about spring and summer with the newest arrivals from Nashua - We unpacked their spring book, Creative Focus Silk along with some yummy colors of their yarn that corresponds to the book - appropriately named Nashua Handknits Creative Focus Silk.
The patterns in the book are great - very workable and very stylish. The yarn is 100% plied raw silk and will be fabulous for spring and summer knitting! Plus it is priced right at $8.95 a skein!

Spring and Summer books and magazines from Rowan are starting to arrive in the shop!
