New Yarn = Instant Love!
This past week, we added a new (to us) yarn to the shop.....Blue Sky Alpacas!
We currently have Dyed Cotton, Skinny Dyed, Sport Weight, Melange and Alpaca Silk in stock as well as some of their great patterns!
I'm working on getting everything up in the online shop, but for the locals, it's already out on the shelves.
Just one word needed for Blue Sky Alpacas yarn......YUMMY!
(And they are a Minnesota company too! Got to support the locals!)

New Books and a Restock too!
First of all, it you missed it the first and second times that we had this book in stock - the Cookie A book, Sock Innovation is available again! If you are a sock knitter, this is a book that you will want to add to your knitting library.
Debbie Bliss has a new book called Design It, Knit It. Debbie shares her secrets for creating sensational knits. There are also 15 great original patterns to knit and a design workbook with templates and knitters' graph paper. If you are a fan of Debbie Bliss, you'll want to check out this book.
Interweave Press has a new book called Feminine Knits. The collections in this book (22 patterns) blend captivating designs with flattering, feminine silhouettes.

Quick Drive-by Post!
This is just a quick drive-by post to let you know that we are now restocked on the book, Socks From The Toe-Up by Wendy Johnson.
If you are a sock knitter, this is definitely one of the "must have" books. There are great patterns, and great instructions inside to have you knitting toe-up socks in no time!
For you lace knitters out there, we also received a small order of the Laceweight Cashmere yarn from Jojoland. We have a few skeins in the natural white and a few in a beautful soft pale blue in stock right now. Each skein has 400 yards of wonderfully soft cashmere........yummy!

Holiday Weekend & Summer Hours
It's hard to believe, but Memorial Day Weekend is THIS weekend!
Our hours for the holiday weekend will be:
Friday: 10am - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 4pm
Sunday: Noon - 4pm
We will be closed on Monday, Memorial Day, May 25th.
Memorial Weekend also means the start of summer, so we'll swing into our summer hours starting this Saturday through Labor Day:
Monday: Noon - 8pm
Tuesday: 10am - 6pm
Wednesday: 10am - 6pm
Thursday: Noon - 8pm
Friday: 10am - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 4pm
Sunday: Noon - 4pm

Organizing Rerun!
We just received more of the project bags from Della Q - this order contained the cotton drawstring bags and the large silk drawstring bags. These bags are great for keeping your knitting bag nice and tidy. Keep each of your works-in-progress in a separate project bag and you won't have to spend time unraveling your yarns! These are also great for sock projects.
And speaking of socks - we also received the Rosemary bags which are GREAT to carry around your sock project in. The Rosemary comes in 4 different colorways, and there's even an outside pocket to carry around a few notions too!
