GoKnit
Really - Go Knit! And to help you, we have some fabulous GoKnit products!
We have the GoKnit Stitch Markers. These are sterling silver "charm" stitch markers that will fit up to a size 15 needle. You can wear them as a necklace (the necklace cord is included), so you'll always have your stitch markers when you need them.
We also now have the GoKnit pouches! These are the perfect small project bags to take your knitting with you wherever you go! Durable fabric too.

FEZ
A new yarn for the season is FEZ by Debbie Bliss. This is a blend of extrafine merino and camel and is unbelievably soft! (I wouldn't hesitate to wear this yarn next to the skin.) 50 gram balls with approximately 110 yards and a knitted gauge of 4.5 stitches per inch on a US #8 needle makes this a yarn suitable for a multitude of patterns!
(Of course, in addition to this wonderful yarn, she also has a great pattern book titled FEZ that goes along with it.)

Debbie Bliss Magazine
I love this time of year! The nights are getting cooler, and a hint of fall is in the air in the evenings and early mornings. (Fall is my absolute favorite season). The thing that I like MOST about this time of year is the promise of the great knitting season that is coming up! We're getting deliveries right and left with new yarns, books, etc.
I did a little digging in the multitude of boxes that arrived today and came up with the new Debbie Bliss Knitting Magazine Fall/Winter 2009! I've had people asking when this one would be here and HERE IT IS!

More New Sock Yarn!
From the same company that brought us Zauberball and Crazy Zauberball, we now have Sockenklecks!This looks like a scarf, but just unravel and knit directly from the "scarf" to create a fabulous pair of socks! These pre-knit "Klecks" are put up in two matching panels, stitched together. This allows you to knit both halves at the same time (should you feel inclined), and have two identical socks! Dyed with self-striping bands.
75% Superwash Wool/25% Nylon - approx. 465 yards.

The Latest Collection from Opal

Homespun and Handknit!
I know we have a lot of spinners out there (drop spindle and wheel). We just received a new book from Interweave Press called All New Handspun Handknit. This is by the editor of Spin-Off Magazine and features 25 small projects to make with your handspun yarn! There are patterns for hats, mittens, scarves, socks, bags, shawls and much more. (Of course, if you aren't a spinner, this is still a great book since all the projects can also be knit with commercial yarn!)

Alpaca With A Twist!
We've brought yet another laceweight yarn to the shop - this time FINO from Alpaca With A Twist.
Fino is a blend of alpaca and silk (70/30), wonderfully soft, and each hank has great yardage at 875 yards of nummy laceweight yarn.

August SP-IT Nite this Friday
This is just a reminder that SP-IT Nite for August is this Friday, August 7th. We'll be doing a dessert/snack potluck, so if you can bring something to share, that would be great (although not required!). Bring your spinning, knitting, or crochet project and join us!
We'll be at the shop until 8 pm (some come at 2:00 for SP-IT afternoon and stay into the evening), so why not join us? Remember, we never charge a fee for any of our open knitting/spinning sessions.
