COLOR on another Dreary Day
The latest box that I opened with new yarn for the store was a welcome sight indeed!
This is Misti Alpaca Tonos Worsted in wonderful, rich, saturated, tone-on-tone colors. With a fiber composition of 50% Baby Alpaca and 50% Merino, it is also SOFT SOFT SOFT! 100 gram hanks with 218 yards and a recommended gauge of 5 stitches per inch on a US #7. Beautiful stuff for scarves, fingerless gloves, etc. (I've got some stashed away for a sweater......thinking another Mondo Cable Cardigan but with cap sleeves and a lower neck this time around!)

Socks and Wool.....
Another delivery to the shop today included two new books!
The Knitter's Book of Wool is "The Ultimate Guide to Understanding, Using, and Loving this Most Fabulous Fiber. In addition, there are more than 20 patterns including socks, shawls, scarves, sweaters and more!
The Joy of Sox is a great sock book for those obsessed with sock knitting! There are more than 30 patterns including cable patterns, lace patterns and colorwork!

Once Again....
Once again, I'm getting behind in posting the newest arrivals to the shop blog! A few days ago, we received another yarn from Dream In Color - this one is called Starry. Starry is a sock weight yarn (the same weight as Smooshy) and has the same great colors, with one exception.....this one has just a touch of glitz to it! Yes - there is 2% of Silver Fiber spun in each hank, but yet it is still super soft and will feel wonderful next to the skin whether knit up as a pair of socks, mittens, shawl, and more!
We're already out of some colorways, so come in soon to check this new yarn out.

Marvelous Malabrigo!
Our "Wall" of Malabrigo was looking a little sparse the other day, but with Thursday's delivery - it's looking pretty darn good again!
We're restocked on Malabrigo Worsted and received some Malabrigo Sock too!
We're also restocked on GoKnit pouches as well. These are great, durable project bags - awesome for carrying your project with you!

Another new collection from Opal!
And since we were on the topic of socks (from the last post), Opal has another new collection -
This one is called Opal Schafpate. If you've ever knit with Opal sock yarn, you know that it is hard wearing, but soft! The self-striping patterns are always fun too!

All About the Feet!
I don't know about you, but if my feet are cold, I feel miserable! With the colder weather settling in, it's all about keeping warm and we're trying to keep you stocked up with fabulous handknit socks!
Last week we received a shipment of Claudia Hand Painted Fingering sock yarn in about 12 different colorways.
We also received a new sock yarn from Regia called Hand-dye Effect. The colors are spectacular!
