Kits from Tanis Fiber Arts!
More New Arrivals in the shop - this time some FANTASTIC KITS!
We brought in some kits from Tanis Fiber Arts and we have both the Fiddlehead Mitten kits and the Dipped Infinity Scarf kits!
There are different colorways to pick in each of the kits, but the colors and yarns are absolutely beautiful! I've knit up the Dipped Infinity Scarf and LOVE IT!
(We've had a huge interest in the Fiddlehead Mittens this past month and have a lot of Fiddlehead Mitten knitters at the shop right now! We're also running this as a class and have ONE opening left at this time.)

It's January out there and even though we're enjoying a little bit of a thaw (THANK GOODNESS!), it's still winter.

Fiddleheads - Take 2!
Due to the popularity of our Fiddleheads Mittens Class and the fact that it filled up so quickly, we have added a second Fiddlehead Mitten class to the schedule and are now taking sign-ups! This class runs Saturdays, Feb. 13, Feb. 27 and March 13th from 3 - 5 pm.
Remember, you can sign up online, by phone or in person! And as always, call if you have any questions!!
Portuguese Knitting!
We've had some interest in the Portuguese style of knitting here at the shop.
We have a class on the schedule to help you learn this technique, but for those that don't want to wait for the class or love to learn on their own, we have some great DVD's on how to knit Portuguese Style.
The first DVD is Learn How to Knit Portuguese Style. This DVD will teach you the knit and purl stitch, ribbing, decreases, increases, and more.
The second (and brand new!) DVD is Portuguese Style of Knitting II. With this DVD you will learn some advanced techniques including how to cast on Portuguese Style, How to knit and purl through the back loops, How to work cables, entrelac and double knitting, Two Color knitting , and more!
We also have All About Socks Portuguese Style. With this DVD you will learn the parts of the sock, how to measure and calculate the number of stitches to cast on, and much more.
Of course, we also have the knitting pins for this style of knitting as well!
